Construction and lease already started

Wednesday morning, Kadans Science Partner met with its construction partners to definitively sign the construction agreement for Plus Ultra Leiden. The occasion took place at the construction site at Leiden Bio Science Park, where the construction of Plus Ultra Leiden started in July earlier this year.

After the first discussions took place online during the intelligent lockdown, it was nice to now physically confirm the collaboration. The signatures were placed by David van der Hulst and Dinand van den Berg on behalf of Goossen Te Pas, Jan-Willem de Rover on behalf of JWR Elektrotechniek, Bas Arends on behalf of Instaan and Chiel van Dijen on behalf of Kadans Science Partner. With this team a total of 19,000 m2 of built floor space will be realized for offices, laboratories and general facilities.

Growing need for space

Although online working has taken off, there continues to be a demand for physical space for the knowledge-intensive sector in this corona era. Plus Ultra Leiden offers an answer to the growing need for tailor-made accommodation. The new multi-tenant building will be the new R&D and business center at the Leiden Bio Science Park. By realizing extensive opportunities for meetings, lunches and presentations, the exchange of knowledge and contact will be promoted and the collaboration between startups, scale-ups and large established companies and institutions will be stimulated. The new building is expected to be completed mid 2021.

Lease already started

The lease of the spaces in Plus Ultra Leiden has already started. Due to the high degree of flexibility, the floors can be freely arranged. The team of construction partners is happy to meet the wishes of all future tenants. This way, space is created for various offices and laboratories that fully meet the needs of the tenant. Moreover, every organization in Plus Ultra Leiden is part of the vibrant Life Sciences & Health ecosystem with all associated facilities.

Various spaces are still available. For more information please contact Johan van Gerven via 06 – 535 828 47.
