Thursday afternoon marked the official start of the construction of Plus Ultra Groningen. Kadans Science Partner is developing a new multi-tenant building on Campus Groningen, location Zernike.

Plus Ultra Groningen will offer tailor-made offices and laboratories for start-ups, scale-ups and innovative companies and organizations. The collaboration between organizations in the building will focus on energy, chemistry, life sciences and big data, in line with the focus of Campus Groningen. First tenant DNV, for example, will realize a hydrogen innovation center there. By accommodating growing and established companies and organizations together in the Plus Ultra Groningen, meetings and collaborations will be stimulated. Connections will be made between organizations on Campus Groningen, but also with organizations on other campuses within Kadans’ network.

“Campus Groningen is pleased with the arrival of Plus Ultra Groningen with DNV as its first occupant. The new building and DNV’s activities are going to provide new innovations and a boost for the energy transition in the Northern Netherlands,” Edward van der Meer, Director Campus Groningen.

“We are delighted that the construction of Plus Ultra Groningen has now really started. Groningen is an important addition to Kadans’ international network. We look forward to new meetings and connections with the organizations on Campus Groningen,” Chiel van Dijen, Commercial Director Kadans Science Partner.
