At the Medical Business Park, the development of Plus Ultra Amsterdam is in progress. The design of the building has now been rewarded with the BREEAM-NL Outstanding certificate for sustainability.

From the beginning of the design plans for Plus Ultra Amsterdam, sustainability has always been important. The building is therefore being developed with a high level of sustainability in mind. This ambition has been translated into practical and meaningful measures. For example, PV panels on the facades and the roof will soon provide the building with sustainable energy. Heating and cooling are provided by heat pumps in combination with underground energy storage, therefore a gas connection is no longer necessary. Flexibility is also central to the design, which is in line with the circular philosophy and future-proofing. Because of all these sustainability measures that have been taken into account in the design, the Dutch Green Building Council has awarded the BREEAM-NL Outstanding design certificate to Plus Ultra Amsterdam.

Plus Ultra Amsterdam offers start-ups, scale-ups and larger companies the opportunity to grow in the Medical Business Park. The building revolves entirely around life sciences and health and serves as a central meeting point for the business community at the business park. Plus Ultra Amsterdam will bring together a large group of entrepreneurial companies, start-ups and knowledge institutions and stimulate collaborations.

Plus Ultra Amsterdam is part of the Kadans Science Partner international network, which connects various science parks and campuses in Europe. This stimulates cooperation between knowledge-intensive organisations to work together towards a better future.
