Face masks have been a staple since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the beginning of this pandemic, the government purchased various medical devices from whoever had them on offer due to a screaming shortage. Folkert Huysinga, Sustainable Innovation project leader at Eindhoven Engine, talked to Innovation Origins about this, and how he and Eindhoven Engine are combating cheap and unsustainable face masks from abroad.
