Leiden is the first European city to host a science festival that will last for a whole year. Using the name Leiden European City of Science, the city will share knowledge by hosting exhibitions, workshops, excursions and more. In 2022, every day will have a different theme, from the Euro (January 1st) to the placebo (April 4th). On the 10th of September, the festival was officially launched from the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre, complete with a new look and feel, website and tear-off calendar.
