Kessler Park has a long history of technological development, Shell opened its research center here as early as 1962. In October 2017, Shell announced that it was leaving the site in Rijswijk, after which Kadans bought the complex in 2019. With 63,000 m2 of office and research space, Kessler Park forms a large complex with many different spaces for knowledge-intensive companies.
The 11 interlinked parts of Kessler Park form a large, sustainable center for research and innovation. Kessler Park forms the connecting link between the center of Rijswijk and the entire Plaspoelpolder. The Plaspoelpolder is an excellent location, in the commuter city of Rijswijk, close to arterial routes such as the A4 motorway, but also within walking distance of the train station. In addition, the surroundings of Kessler Park are typically green, with a spacious and well-tended outdoor area.
Currently, part of Kessler Park is used by TNO with an innovation center for energy and sustainability. With its experience in revitalizing campuses, Kadans will focus on accommodating and supporting companies and knowledge institutions and creating a lively ecosystem at the location in Rijswijk.
