The Eindhoven University of Technology kicked of its new Eindhoven Hendrik Casimir Institute, a new research institute on quantum and photonics. To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the university they also received a new set of high-tech machinery from their partner ASML.

The institute is named after Hendrik Casimir, a dutch physicist mostly known for his work on quantum physics and superconductivity. He defined the principles for research management that are still used today.
