About the position
Kadans Science Partner is growing towards professional stewardship in creating resilient innovation ecosystems. This is done by an integrated service offering with modern, flexible real estate as fundament, which is unique in the Netherlands. Kadans Science Partner actively participates in various ecosystems and by doing so is capable of connecting these different local/regional ecosystems and its participants. Communities are at the heart of ecosystems.
For this purpose, Kadans Science Partner is seeking a strategic, creative and intellectually curious ecosystem pioneer to serve as its sr. ecosystem manager. Reporting to senior management, this individual will lead all ecosystem related activities, will act as a pivot between the senior management and the different site teams. The individual will also serve as key member to communicate the corporate story and will manage the data collection to gain information for the ecosystem impact.
This ideal candidate will have experience in programming activities (including implementation of), understanding the dynamics of local/regional ecosystems, bring knowledge of and passion for developing these and be an avid and quick learner who thrives in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as the ecosystem anchor for our different sites, collaborating with the site teams and other partners & tenants to help drive the organization’s vision, strategy and ecosystem development.
Delivering & implementation of added value & services to achieve progress on various sites.
Serve as a compelling external voice and ambassador for Kadans Science Partner
Act as a liaison to the management team, presenting key impact updates and building strong relationships with the senior management and site team members
Serve as an external leader for Kadans Science Partner, speaking publicly at events and conferences and presenting as a thought leader on relevant topics
Serve as a culture builder and carrier for the organization
Communicate overall corporate story and the ‘why’ of ecosystems
Manage and motivate staff to achieve annual objectives on our ecosystem activities to a high standard of excellence and accountability
Develop a set of indicators and collect data to prove the organization impact.
Develop and mentor all Kadans Science Partner staff to ensure individuals are understanding the relevance of these ecosystem activities and developing as professionals
In the near future international expansion of ecosystem related activities is expected. Consecutive roll out of ecosystem activities abroad is foreseen.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience
Ability to connect ecosystems and build linkages.
Ability to serve as a role model for colleagues, staff, and partners
Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking skills; genuine intellectual curiosity and high emotional intelligence
An entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, coupled with a strong ability to navigate ambiguity

Real Estate experience is a pre, not requisite

Are you the all-round Property Manager Kadans Science Partner is looking for?
You will be required to deal with the day-to-day management of properties within our knowledge-intensive portfolio in the UK.
The function of property manager
As an all-round property manager, you are the important link between the tenant and your colleagues at the real estate department of Kadans.
You take care of the commercial, financial, technical and facility management of our properties in the UK.
Tenants, contractors and colleagues are fully abreast of actions you have taken, work in progress and successful completion of tasks including documentation in our property management system.
You report periodically to the director of real estate in the Netherlands and you are part of our pan-European property management team.
You are able to (i) translate tactical objectives of the portfolio properties into a building per building business plan, (ii) identify the needs of the tenants (housing issues) and (iii) respond accordingly.
Identifying improvements for the benefit of operations.
You are the first point of contact for our tenants with regard to the service package offered and responsible for the day-to-day affairs.
You coordinate the reports and queries received from tenants on facility matters.
You have knowledge about environmental permits and the associated obligations.
You conclude maintenance contracts and do the monitoring of the implementation and therefore you communicate with the executive and advisory parties.
You coordinate the reports and queries received from tenants on technical matters.
You will organize valid safety certificates, electrical certificates, EICR, EPC and PAT.
You will organize quotes for repair / maintenance on behalf of Kadans.
You take care of the administrative work necessary for the provision and follow-up of queries and outsourced work.
You carry out periodic inspection of the condition of the properties.
You prepare budgets and multi-year plans (MYOB).
You have knowledge of permits that are required for alterations and maintenance of the installations.
Key skills and qualifications
General Knowledge: Experience in property management and strong organisational skill set. Meticulous reporting and an understanding of the real estate market.
Ambition: High motivation and a strong ambition are essential.
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Organisation: Able to prioritise workload, possess a problem-solving attitude and stress resistant.
Negotiation: Natural feel for and experience in negotiation tactics.
