The ability to get more power on the grid is limited. The energy transition, the desire to get rid of Russian gas and the increase of high gas prices have led to a surge in demand for electricity. A bigger problem, however, is the limited feed that can be brought to the power grid. Therefore, Arnold van Triest, energy coordinator at VDL Groep, focuses on efficient local energy production and consumption. This can either be achieved on your own or with the help of a neighboring company. With this, VDL Groep hopes to ease the grid’s growing demand for electricity and successfully facilitate the energy transition.
